What’s New At SecurityRecruiter.com?

Fred: Hey Jeff, you’re a bit difficult to get on the phone without a scheduled appointment these days.  What’s the story behind your schedule?

Jeff: I’m occupied from the time I get to my desk until I leave my desk every day.  In the afternoon hours, I block out time for outbound calls.  In the morning, I take care of email, blog writing, reading of other people’s blogs, etc.

Fred: The economy isn’t very good.  Are you really that busy with searches these days?

Jeff: Yes, I’ve been fortunate to have a steady flow of jobs cross my desk this year

  • Security Architect jobs in Southern California
  • Security Management jobs in San Diego, California and Los Angeles, California
  • Physical Security Port Security Maritime Security Management search in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa
  • VP of Information Security Consulting Services in St. Louis, Missouri
  • Security Engineering Research and Forensics jobs in Nashville, Tennessee
  • Secure Software Development, Web Application Security Leadership in Southern California
  • Web Application Security in Los Angeles

Fred: That’s a lot of work for a bad economy.

Jeff: Yes it is and we’ve been very fortunate to have such high quality business with high quality companies.  When companies need to secure their intellectual, digital and physical property, the ones that don’t have time to compromise call on us to recruit for them.

Fred: Is there anything on your plate for the fourth quarter of 2009?
Jeff: You opened Pandora’s box with that question.  We’re working on a project that will enable SecurityRecruiter.com to bring the same talent acquisition services in the security space we provide to the corporate sector to the government.

Fred: Wow! How is that project going.

Jeff: Its rolling along like a bullet train.  We have a dream team of sorts consisting of both Cybersecurity and Physical Security professionals who are ready to join us.  We have funding.  J.A. Snyder & Associates, Inc. d/b/a SecuriytRecruiter.com is properly registered in all the right government systems as a Woman Owned business.  We’re ready to fill DHS security jobs, DOD security jobs, DOJ security jobs and a whole lot more by providing the government with a mix of full-time and contract placement.

Fred: That sure seems like a departure from the work I’ve seen you do in the past.

Jeff: Yes and no.  We’ve been recruiting Information Security professionals as far back as 1995-1996.  In fact, we recruited general IT skills as far back as when I got into the search business in 1990.  Providing the same high quality talent to the US Government that we provide to our corporate clients seems like a natural progression to me.

Fred: Will you be able to pick up Prime Contracts from the government.

Jeff: Yes, we’ll be able to pick up smaller contracts at first.  We’ll also be teaming with some of the larger government contract organizations that don’t have our highly specialized security recruiting experience.  We’ve been recruiting Information Security professionals as far back as 1995-1996.  In fact, we recruited general IT skills as far back as when I got into the search business in 1990.  Providing the same high quality talent to the US Government that we provide to our corporate clients seems like a natural progression to me.

Fred: Okay, so now I understand why you’re so hard to track down.  You must be doing some traveling to get this new line of business off the ground.

Jeff:  Yes, I’ve had to travel a bit and there is more travel ahead of me in the very near future.   I’m always happy to talk to you Fred but scheduling a time that I can block out specifically for you is the best course of action.

Fred: Thanks Jeff.  I look forward to walking through the next topic with you soon.
