SecruityRecruiter.com has been retained to identify, recruit and deliver a highly business savvy security executive whose background is primarily filled with experiences in information security / cyber security, intellectual property protection, brand and reputation protection, risk management and change management responsibilities. Significant emphasis in this role is focused on providing positive change management across multiple lines of business to turn security into a proactive rather than a reactive topic. This security leader will work very closely with multiple line of business owners. To drive change, the security executive will demonstrate outstanding leadership and communication skills. The responsibilities under the security leader include protecting our client's information, people, brand, reputation, customer information and intellectual property from unacceptable risk. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and has responsibility for securing operations across North America. Responsibilities: Act as the senior security and risk management advisor to executive management team members Provide leadership to a small team of security and business personnel to implement the local portion of a global information security framework. Support and coordinate the North American implementation of global business continuity management. Support the sales organization in handling customer requests on security, safety and insurance matters Deliver leadership, training and education on information security, safety, business continuity management and security awareness enterprise-wide. Ensure that global security policies and directives are implemented across North America. Provide guidance to the Crisis Management Response Team Serve as a representative for security, safety and Insurance related activities, both internally and externally Develop and improve local methods, processes and tools for Information Security and Business Continuity Management
Qualifications BA/BS degree required. A Masters degree is preferred. A minimum of 10+ years of experience in an information security role that demonstrates consistent growth in job scope and responsibility and leading others. Demonstrate very strong leadership skills and abilities that includes experience managing managers. Demonstrate significant experience providing change management whereby security was driven into an organization to create a proactive security posture rather than just functioning in a reactive security posture. Prior experience developing and rolling out an enterprise-wide security awareness program. Demonstrate exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to build relationships across multiple lines of business with non-security skilled executives. Knowledge and experience working with, ISO/IEC 27001 and other management systems standards Significant experience and training in technology risk management. Business Continuity Management experience Deep experience in project management, leadership and experience managing managers. Experience in driving change in organizations, including pushing change upwards towards top management Desirable certifications include but are not limited to: CISSP, CISA, CCSO, CPISM, CBCP, MBCP, ISO training, etc. It is extremely important that the successful candidate have exceptionally strong interpersonal skills and is able to interact and communicate with executive management. The candidate will need to have strong analytical skills, highest level of integrity and a strong ability to influence people. The successful candidate will be seen as a doer with focus on executing on agreed plans and decisions. Experience from Telecommunications or Software Development is of particularly high interest. Experience working in a global company is preferred.
