SecurityRecruiter.com has been engaged by an international electronic security product development company to identify and deliver Sales / Business Development leader. This person will be our client's first full-time hire in the US. Our client has developed ground-breaking, leading-edge Bluetooth driven wireless electronic physical security technology currently being sold as individual products. This role will be to focus on sales into very large OEM organizations in the electronic physical security industry. The investors behind this company have significant successful experience in taking new products to market. The intention of this company is to position itself to be bought. As such, when the new business development executive in this organization proves their worth to the organization through measurable contributions, they will be granted stock options and will share in the rewards of being bought in the future. This company's products are available for sale and are currently targeted to the residential, light commercial, electronic security access control, gate, garage door and automotive industries. A Sales / Business Development leader must be capable of selling across many different industries and not be tied specifically to one industry vertical. While the new business development leader can be based anywhere in the US, there is a preference that this person is located West of the Mississippi in either the Mountain or Pacific Time zones so as to be available for international conference calls. In general the Sales / Business Development leader will have to conduct business during normal business hours in the US. The anticipated sales cycle is 6 months+ and it is anticipated that the value of a typical sale will be in the 1/2 Million to 3 Million Dollar range. A Sales / Business Development leader will likely close 3-5 large sales per year. This role represents an opportunity for a highly entrepreneurial sales executive to leverage their sales abilities in the electronic physical security product industry without having to also be an inventor of the product they'll be selling.
While a BA/BS or MBA is preferred, we're focused on identifying an individual who has significant measurably successful experience selling in the electronic physical security product industry. Selected candidates will demonstrate significant experience selling into the electronic physical security OEM arena. Possible product sales backgrounds include but are not limited to Physical Access Control Solutions, Biometrics, etc. Candidates must demonstrate prior experience in start-up or early-stage companies where they've previously taken high risks in order to receive high rewards. Successful candidates will be highly independent, entrepreneurial, self-managed sales professionals who are capable of building and executing their own success plan without significant daily input.
